Citicore donates 50 solar street lamps to the Municipality of Tuy, Batangas

Tuy, Batangas–In partnership with the Municipality of Tuy, Batangas, through the Office of Hon. Mayor Jose Jecerelle C. Cerrado,Citicore Foundation donated a total of 50 solar street lamps to the identified barangays of Tuy, which host the Citicore Solar(CS)Batangas in the pipeline projects of Citicore.
Consistent to the company’s advocacy, this project of the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of Citicore will help provide lights along the streets of Barangays Guinhawa, Obispo, Putol, Mataywanac, Luna ,and Magahis, all with 6 units of street lamps and Luntal and Lumbangan with 7 units of street lamps each, through solar power.
“Maraming salamat, Citicore, sa malaking tulong sa aming mga barangay sa Tuy. Makasisiguro kayo na makikipagtulungan ang aming munisipalidad at ang aming opisina para maging maayos ang pagsasakatuparan ng inyong proyektong solar plant sa aming lugar, ”Mayor Cerrado said during the MOU contract signing ceremonies.
“Bukas ang aming opisina sa anumang tulong na kakailanganin ng Citicore sa Solar Plant project sa Tuy dahil ito ay para sa ikabubuti din ng aming mamamayan, ”Cerrado added.
The Citicore Solar plant in Batangas is projected to serve not only the municipality that hosts the plant but the province of Batangas as well. This will give a boost in the economy of those that will benefit to the energization of the CS Plant.
“Through projects such as the Citicore Solar Plant in Tuy, we commit to provide reliable energy source for continuous economic growth of nearby municipalities and connected provinces. Together with the local government units hosting our plants, Citicore envisions a brighter Philippines through renewable energy, ”Fiona Nicolas, Head of Citicore’s Corporate Affairs, Branding and Foundation, responded.
With all the projects in the pipeline, Citicore commits to continue empowering the Filipino communities through positive energy.
